The Tappita District Development Organization is a
member-supported organization. Ninety five percent of our income comes from
membership dues and donations. We are a US
501 © (3) Tax-exempt organization. Membership is opened to ALL citizens of
Tappita District, their relatives and friends and also to ALL persons,
regardless of nativity, creed or race, who have an interest in helping develop
the socio-economic, educational and other developmental infrastructures within
and concerning Tappita District.
Because of our legal status, registration is required in
order to become a member. There is a one-time registration fee of US $50.00.
After that, we have annual dues to cover the cost of the development project(s)
that we all decided to accomplish. At present, our project is the
reconstruction/renovation of Tappeh Memorial
High School – the only public high
school in Lower Nimba
County - and our annual project due
is set at $100.00. Both your registration fee and your project dues may be
tax-deductible.
